Ezi Accounting Version 2.1.48 has been released. Ezi Accounting includes Inventory Control and integration with many leading brands of web stores. Prices for new customers start at USD179 for purchase, USD49 per year for rental.

Version 2.1.48 is a free update to all customers who have purchased Version 2.1 of Ezi Accounting. Prices start at USD40 to upgrade from Ezi Accounting Version 2.0 or older.

Ezi Accounting now a signed download, this will make installation easier on Windows 10 and with most anti-virus and security programs.

Customers are recommended to backup Ezi Accounting before downloading and installing Version 2.1.48.

The previous update to Ezi Accounting was 7 months ago. Version 2.1.48 of Ezi Accounting includes several updates and fixes that have been recently included in Retail Man POS. Some of the changes are listed below.

  • Added the Consignment in / Out to export in the multi-location environment as well as the iPort.exe and xPort.exe (ver 3.25)
  • Added Price choice in Web Store report
  • Added qty on backorder on stock reorder report
  • Modified Stock Qty report to include Consignment out in the stock count
  • Modified Stock value report to include Transfer in/out in the stock count for multi-locations
  • Added bin sorting to the stock reorder report
  • Modified Rounding by adding 0.25 and 0.5 to the current rounding figures
  • Added Reference number search in purchase and invoice list screen
  • Fixed stock search recall in Stock Transfer screen for multi-locations
  • Added a new Serial numbers search option using the F8 button
  • Added option to change search behaviour by adding quickfind.txt to the program folder to skip an extra step
  • Bugs fixed in Invoice Screen, Sales/Purchase Summary Report, Staff Sales Summary Report, Clients/Suppliers Statement

The list price of Software and Support from Ezi Solution Systems is in US dollars. Base prices on EziSales.com are GB Pounds. Some customers prefer to buy in GB Pounds or a currency that is converted to GB Pounds. We review the pricing in GB Pounds from time to time, the pricing may then be updated. As a result of the vote in the UK referendum on membership of the European Union, the value of the GB Pound has fallen significantly. It will take several days to stabilise.

  • Depends on Internet for access
  • How private are your client details and financials?
  • Interfaces to bank and payment systems?
  • Software updates are included
  • Monthly subscription only, so can be costly over several years
  • Data will be lost at the end of the subscription
  • Data will only be on the Cloud unless downloaded to Local computer or server

Security and privacy are potential risks for Cloud based solutions. It is vital that passwords are complex and changed regularly. The privacy of data is the responsibility of the service provider. The data is potentially visible during transfers between the Cloud and your Local computer.

Local Installation

  • Backups are the responsibility of the customer, ensure that they are stored securely!
  • Access is on the local computer or laptop only
  • No Internet is access is needed
  • Client details and financials are as secure as the computer or laptop
  • Accounting Software updates are optional and the responsibility of the customer
  • Options for monthly or annual subscription, or purchase are options
  • When purchased, upgrades to Accounting software can be purchased and applied when required or recommended.

Backup and reliability of data are potential risks for local software. It is vital that data is backed up regularly and stored away from the local computer. The privacy of data is the responsibility of the customer. Windows updates, Anti Virus software and security are the responsibility of the customer, these will help to protect the data.

Good Practice

  • Use an established supplier for Cloud based services
  • Regularly create a backup or export, and store them remotely in a safe place
  • Regularly print out financial reports and store them in a safe place
  • Regularly create an extract or report that lists customers and suppliers and store them in a safe place
  • Use a lockable metal cabinet or fire safe to store key documents and backups for your business
  • Ask your book keeper or accountant for suggestions on good practice.

Ezi Accounting does not support POS hardware but does including all the accounting and inventory features in Retail Man. The Web Link feature is supported in Ezi Accounting for integration with Web Stores, including OpenCart.

Version 2.1 of Ezi Accounting is now available for download, this includes new features and fixes. Costs start at USD179 for purchasing a 1-user system or USD49 a year for rental. Support is included for inventory control, payroll and integration with web stores.

Version 2.1 is a major release, so payment is required to upgrade to Version 2.1. Prices for upgrades start at USD40 for a upgrading a 1-user system. Please ensure that you backup your system and have purchased a licence key for Version 2.1 before you upgrade to Version 2.1!

The last major release of Ezi Accounting was Version 2.0, which was released in August 2013. Ezi Solution will continue to add features and enhance Version 2.1, but there will be no further updates to Version 2.0.

Upgrades are available to Retail Man for those customers that need Point of Sale features and support of POS hardware.
